Mojo in My Hand

Bluesman L.C. Good Rockin’ Robinson (1914–1976) gained his nickname for his musical showmanship. Born in Texas, Robinson moved to the San Francisco Bay area after World War II to play local clubs with his brother A.C. This compilation is drawn from three separate recording sessions, two in 1971 and one in 1975. The first session included musicians from Muddy Waters’ band (“Pinetop” Perkins on piano and Charlie Musselwhite on harmonica), whereas in the second session Robinson was accompanied by the Dave Alexander (Omar Sharriff) Trio. The third session was a Thanksgiving Day radio broadcast with Robinson playing fiddle.
