Runs Good, Needs Paint
Mark Wenner

Though best known for his work with The Nighthawks, Mark Wenner's Runs Good, Needs Paint offers something of an appraisal of the D.C.-based harmonica virtuoso's larger career, featuring recordings of Wenner with a host of musicians dating as far back as 1984. Though recordings with The Nighthawks are included, this album also showcases Wenner's performances with D.C. rockabilly trailblazers Switchblade, The BelAirs, Terry Garland, and former Muddy Waters band guitarist Bob Margolin. Appearing on this selection are renditions of classic Blues tunes by the likes of Willie Dixon and Muddy Waters, as well as genre-melding interpretations of works by Hank Williams, Elvis Presley, and more.
