Powder River

When recording Powder River, Kane and Gorman set out to "pass on our fascination with the songs and lore of the West ... to convey our own feelings for the West without losing that special quality felt by the old masters themselves". As such, Powder River offers an evocative collection of Western songs ranging from jaunty rags to cowboy ballads. Alongside their singing, Kane and Gorman supply a rich instrumentation including fiddle, guitar, mandolin, and banjo. Providing accompaniment are Greg Schaub, Tom Carter, and Hal Cannon.
