Serenade by Aaron Kramer: Reading His Own and Other Poems by Poets of New York

In 1957, American poet and activist Aaron Kramer recorded a collection of poems written by himself and by Alexander Bergman, Maxwell Bodenheim, and Morris Rosenfeld. Noted for his support of progressive political agendas, Kramer’s poetry includes themes of racism, economic inequality, idealism and optimism. In this collection, Kramer reads 16 of his poems and 11 composed by Bergman, Bodenheim and Rosenfeld. The liner notes provide the text and a brief biography of the four poets and a series of drawings by New York based artists.
