Live! At the Isleton Crawdad Festival

Jesse Legé and Edward Poullard
Live! At the Isleton Crawdad Festival The wetlands community of Isleton, California, is a far distance from the Louisiana wetlands. One weekend a year, however, Isleton holds a crawdad (crawfish) festival complete with Cajun music. In 2001, Creole fiddler Jesse Lége and Cajun accordionist Edward Poullard were featured performers at the festival. Accompanied by the Cajun All-Stars, Lége and Poullard open with Alphonse Ardoin and Canray Fontenot’s “Quoi Faire” (Why?) and close with Clifton Chenier’s “Zydeco Sont Pas Salé” (The Beans Aren't Salty). In between, the duo play an exciting mix of Creole and Cajun dance music.
