‘African American Sounds of Folkways’ Flash Sale
2018 is already proving to be one of Folkways Recordings’ most exciting years! So far, we’ve released a new blues compilation, focusing in on southern and delta styles, and an exciting album of traditional Mexican son jarocho and son huasteco from Hermanos Herrera and more releases are hitting the shelves within weeks, like the career retrospective of musical figure Barbara Dane. In January, we kicked off a series of “flash sales” featuring some of our seminal artists and recordings. In honor of African American Heritage Month, February’s flash sale highlights significant Folkways recordings from African American artists including Paul Robeson, Lightnin’ Hopkins, and Mary Lou Williams – all for 30% off! The sale ends on February 15th, but we’ll continue to have flash sales throughout the rest of the year, so stay tuned! You can sign up for our newsletter here.
