Down by the Glenside
A field recording conducted by Diane Hamilton, this album features Peg Clancy Power, the youngest sister and occasional collaborator of the well-known Clancy Brothers. Though the Clancy Brothers achieved great international success, Power remained in Ireland where she pursued music and theater locally. This collection of traditional folk songs - Power's only solo recording - was recorded in Carrick-on-Suir, County Tipperary, Ireland and contains a mix of English and Irish language performances.
