Originally released as a joint effort between the Washington, D.C. and Annapolis, Maryland based labels Right on Rhythm and Severn Records, Roy Carrier's Living Legend was the first collection of his recordings to achieve major distribution. With all tracks penned and performed by Carrier alongside his largely family-based band The Night Rockers, Living Legend showcases the tremendous dedication and fluency for zydeco held by the Lawtell, Louisiana family.
