Sacred Steel Instrumentals

Various Artists
Sacred Steel Instrumentals Originally developed for playing Hawaiian music, the steel guitar was integrated into the sacred music repertoire of two branches of the House of God, an African American Holiness Pentecostal church, in the late 1930s. This collection features both sacred and secular instrumentals played by Sonny Treadway, Aubrey Ghent, the Campbell brothers, and others and is drawn from music recorded during the 1990s.
