Favorite Sea Songs - Songs from the Age of Sail

The all-male quartet X-Seamen's Institute was founded in New York City's South Street Seaport in 1968 and is dedicated to continuing the centuries-old tradition of singing songs of the sea. This collection of classic maritime songs includes such favorites as "Shenandoah" and "Rio Grande." Liner notes include song lyrics, black-and-white illustrations of nautical themes (sailor brawls included!), and a glossary of sailor slang.
